If you made weight loss a goal for 2009, like it or not, you’re going to have to add some exericise to your program. Luckily, the Kisber Library has some resources to help you with this goal as well.

Sample Books:

  • Teach Yourself Visually Yoga– Colleen Tiltman
  • Yogafit– Beth Shaw
  • The 90 Day Fitness Walking Program–Mark Fenton
  • Serious Strength  Training–Tudor  Bompa
  • SWAT Fitness–Matt Brzycki

Sample NetLibrary Books:

There are many good websites that will help with this resolution. Most fitness and exercise magazines have web sites that include exercise programs. Yoga Journal includes descriptions of poses. Self has workout videos. Google and The Cleveland Clinic have come up with a walking plan where participants can keep up with their walks and see motivational videos. (I did this one, and it really kept me motivated.)

When it comes to exercise, there really is no need to go it alone. There’s all sorts of good information out there! Let us know what works for you.
