The Poetry World Remembers Louise Clifton.

Louise Clifton died recently at the age of  73. She was one of the poets I loved teaching because she was often immediately accessible to students. She wrote about her experiences of being both African-American and a woman. She wrote about her difficulties, but she never saw herself as a victim. If you don’t know Clifton’s work, then this is a good time to acquaint yourself with her poetry.  Here are some links:
